2024 Land Rover Defender adds Australia-only special edition
Land Rover will build 15 special-edition Defender 90 4WDs, each with a matching surfboard and a range of added equipment.
The 2024 Land Rover Defender Pacific Blue Edition has been unveiled as a limited edition exclusive to the Australian market.
Based on the Defender S in two-door diesel 90 D250 form, just 15 examples will be offered, priced from $129,976 plus on-road costs .
The Defender Pacific Blue edition sits between the two most expensive, non-V8 variants in Defender 90 line-up, the P400 X-Dynamic SE ($110,870) and the P400 X ($146,920) – which use more powerful turbo-petrol engines.
As its name suggests, the Defender Pacific Blue Edition is finished in Pacific Blue matte, with a contrasting white roof, white 18-inch steel wheels, black roof rails, a panoramic glass sunroof, and all-terrain tyres.
On the inside, the special edition features factory options including 12-way power-adjustable front seats in black leather, a white power-coated dashboard, and an upgraded Meridian premium sound system over the regular Defender S.
The Pacific Blue Edition is powered by a 3.0-litre twin-turbo inline-six diesel engine developing 183kW and 570Nm, which is sent to all four wheels through an eight-speed automatic transmission.
The special edition rides on electronically-controlled air suspension, with adaptive damping and an automatic headlamp levelling system.
A custom “Defender” surfboard will also be included with the limited-edition Land Rover, alongside a side-mounted gear carrier, fixed side steps, a portable rinse system, tow hitch receiver and locking wheel nuts.
Deliveries of the 2024 Land Rover Defender Pacific Edition are due to commence in May next year.
