Mercedes-Benz Australia has recalled seven examples of its 2022 Mercedes-AMG CLA45 S, after it found the tyres fitted to the performance sedan sit outside its specifications – putting drivers at higher risk of a puncture and crash.
The recall notice, lodged with the Department of Infrastructure, says: "The tyres within this production range may not meet manufacturing specifications which may lead to deflation of the tyre.
"A sudden loss of air pressure may result in loss of vehicle control increasing the risk of an accident, causing injury or death to vehicle occupants and other road users."
