2015-2016 Mercedes-Benz Vito recalled in Australia
Mercedes-Benz says the Vito van's rear-view camera could malfunction, resulting in a blank screen while reversing.
Mercedes-Benz Australia has recalled 7036 examples of its 2015-2016 Mercedes-Benz Vito due to a software fault which could cause the rear-view camera not to display an image.
The affected examples of the Vito were built by Mercedes-Benz between 2015 and 2016.
The recall notice, lodged with the Department of Infrastructure, says: "Due to a software issue, the rear-view camera may not display the rear-view image as intended.
"If the rear-view camera display does not display the rear-view image when reversing the vehicle, it could increase the risk of an accident, causing serious injury or death to any persons located behind the vehicle."
