Video: Impatient driver jumps queue while turning, tips trailer over

The footage was uploaded to social media where it has sparked widespread condemnation of the dangerous driving behaviour.

Dashcam footage of an impatient driver overtaking and clipping the vehicle in front of it has emerged online – with online commenters slamming the dangerous behaviour.

While the dashcam owner did not specify where it happened, some online users claimed it took place along Reserve Road in Geelong – approximately 75km southwest of Melbourne.

"This is just near my house, [it's the] worst intersection in Geelong ... it's like playing Russian Roulette trying to get out of Reserve Road sometimes," a commenter wrote.

According to the dashcam reading, the incident occurred on 16 April 2024 – with the video uploaded online on 6 May 2024.

In the video, uploaded to Dash Cam Owners Australia’s Facebook page, the motorist behind the wheel of the Holden Rodeo can be seen jumping the queue to overtake the Ford Laser waiting to turn right.

As the Ford attempts to turn, the Holden abruptly overtakes the car and, in its haste, the back right wheel of the ute's trailer clips the left side of the hatch – causing the trailer to tip on its side.

The impatient motorist continues driving the ute as the trailer skids across the intersection before eventually stopping at a side street.

A vast majority of commenters expressed their disapproval of the impatient driver's behaviour, with one commenter stating: "When you're [sic] impatience comes back to bite you", while another said: "Ah karma. Sometimes she's there instantly."
