Skoda's Superb large car hasn't gained a whole lot of traction In Australia, living in the shadow of the sexier Octavia range.
But nothing alters the fact that the Superb was a huge car.
And now it's even bigger.
The new Superb which went on sale in Europe recently was joined at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show by the new Combi – essentially a station wagon version of the Superb - and the more stylish Sport Combi.
As well as the long wheelbase used by the previous model, the Combi also benefits from the wider body of the latest version to emerge as a car with a truly vast interior.
Skoda claims it's bigger inside than any of its competitors, and we're not about to argue with that.
The new Skoda is also plant-friendly with a Greenline model that claims to produce just 96 grams of CO2 per kilometre.
But those after performance won't be disappointed either, as there's a choice of five petrol and three turbo diesel engines, including a 206kW high-performance petrol.
Skoda's catchline recently has been 'Simply clever' and when you look at the new Superb Combi that's hard to argue with.
The Combi features no less than 31 (somebody has counted them) clever additions to make life in a Combi nicer.
These thoughtful little touches include an ice-scraper that lives permanently in the fuel-filler flap, storage nets on the inside edges of the front seats and a parking permit holder.
Less Euro-centric touches include the ability to electrically adjust the front passenger's seat from the rear compartment and retractable sun-visors for the rear-side windows.
Skoda Australia confirmed that the Combi would be sold in Australia, with sales beginning some time in the first half of 2016.
