The newest member of Nismo's expanding family of performance-tuned Nissans has been revealed in Japan, with the Note small hatchback getting a Nismo makeover to its engine, suspension and aerodynamics.
The Note, which exists in a size class somewhere between the Micra and Pulsar hatch, has been equipped by Nismo with an uprated engine, five-speed manual transmission, unique alloy wheels, re-calibrated suspension settings and a racy aero kit.
But Nismo doesn't say exactly what's been changed, by how much, or even which engine is under the bonnet (in Japan, either a 1.2 litre naturally-aspirated three-cylinder or a 1.2 litre supercharged three are available).
However, the five-speed manual is a unique feature for the Japanese-market Note, which is currently only offered with a CVT gearbox.
Two models will be offered in Japan, the base Nismo Note, and the higher-featured Nismo Note S.
