New engine for Renault Captur
Renault has introduced a new engine for its compact SUV.
Replacing the 1.2-litre TCe engine, a newer, more powerful turbo-charged 1.3-litre TCe engine will be available in a limited-run Captur Intens S-Edition.
The new engine boasts 110kW of power and 250Nm of torque, as opposed to the current engine’s 88kW and 190Nm.
The French car company says the new 1.3-litre turbo engine is seven per cent more fuel efficient than before, with a claimed combined fuel consumption of 5.4 litres per 100km.
Special edition models featuring the new engine have already landed in Australia, with only 162 models available.
The Renault Captur S-Edition gets a metallic two-tone paint finish (Iron Blue with a Diamond Black roof), 17-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels and Alcantara seats.
