Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X Pricing
Previous reports had suggested the price of the new Evo X may rise to anywhere between $70-$80,000, however with the launch of the new-generation rally legend getting closer and closer, Mitsubishi insiders have told CarAdvice the company is keen to keep the price to more realistic levels.
A source inside Mitsubishi told CarAdvice the RRP should stay "within 2-3% of the current price ($56,789)". This would also mean Subaru's all new STi should remain in a similar price bracket to compete.
The sub-60k RRP for the new Evo X is only a starting price as there will be two variants, one with a manual gearbox and the other with a dual-clutch (DSG style) automatic gearbox.
In other news, car fans attending next month's Australian International Motor Show (Sydney) will be delighted to see the new Evo X on display alongside two Ralliart Lancers (GSR).
Rumours suggest Mitsubishi will begin a pre-sale campaign at the show.
