Hyundai has given its i30 Tourer wagon an update for 2015, introducing the Series II to the Australian market with new features and mechanical improvements.
The biggest change is a new seven-speed dual-clutch (DCT) automatic transmission, which is now standard across the revised range, but it brings a $750 price-rise across the board compared to the equivalent outgoing models.
Hyundai was a carmaker which offered manual transmissions in almost every model in Australia in the not-too-distant past, but the arrival of the DCT now sees the Series II Tourer join a growing list of auto-only models from the Korean carmaker.
Power comes from a 1.6 litre four-cylinder petrol engine producing 98kW and 163Nm, or a 1.6 litre turbo-diesel making 100kW and 300Nm.
