Honda is reportedly planning a new all-electric sports hatch, which would forge something of a new category for EVs.
Journalists this week viewed Honda’s 4-Motor EV hatch prototype at the Tokyo Motor Show, which is inspired by the racing version (pictured below) that tackled the Pikes Peak hill-climb earlier this year.
Honda made no official announcement regarding a production version, but Auto Express reports the demonstration could be a preview to a future road-going model.
The 4-Motor EV is based on Honda’s CR-Z hatch, and the showroom version of the EV would reportedly target a range of around 250 miles (400km).
