2022 Jaguar F-Type, F-Pace, XE and XF recalled in Australia
A recall notice has been issued for the Jaguar F-Pace, F-Type, XE and XF.
Jaguar Land Rover Australia has recalled 14 examples of its 2022 Jaguar F-Type, F-Pace, XE and XF, citing a fault with their seat belt pre-tensioners.
The recall notice, lodged with the Department of Infrastructure, says: "Due to a manufacturing defect, a damaged front seat belt pre-tensioner tube may have been installed on the seat belt retractor. As a result the seat belt pre-tensioner may not operate as intended.
"In the event of an accident, if the seat belt pre-tensioner does not operate as intended it may increase the risk of injury or, in the case of a serious accident increase the risk of death to vehicle occupants.
Jaguar's online recall search function shows eight of the 14 affected vehicles are F-Types while the remaining six vehicles are F-Paces – none of the VINs listed apply to the XE or XF.
