Skoda has pulled the wraps from its new 2013 Octavia, revealing the final look of the third-generation small car.
As expected, the new model draws on the looks of the smaller Rapid, wearing a no-nonsense suit of sharp lines and understated modern features.
The latest update to Skoda's signature grille design dominates the front end, flanked by new Audi-like headlights and a wide lower grille with integrated foglight frames.
The theme continues at the rear end, with tail-lights again reminiscent of Audis past (the Typ 4F A6 in particular), while adopting the same chiseled edges previewed by the earlier VisionD concept.
Built on the same MQB platform that underpins the new Golf and Audi's new A3 range, the 2013 Octavia is larger all-round than its predecessor.
At 4659mm long and 1814mm wide, the small car has been stretched by 90 and 45mm respectively. The wheelbase is also longer, growing 108mm to 2686mm.
